Burdock

Burdock is a plant related to the daisy family. This is also closely related to Echinacea, Dandelion, and Feverfew. Burdock is an herb but it is one of many that have been ignored if necessary to get attention. Back in ancient times used Greek roots, the seeds, and green vegetables and used them for healing purposes. Throughout the centuries Burdock is used for both food and medicine.

Today, Burdock is still used for things as easing liver problems and digestive disorders. It was also found to be very effective for cleaning the skin problems like acne and also to assist in digestive problems. To this day all over Europe in the stalk and the Pool is still eaten because they hold such valuable nutrition and vitamin values.

Because more and more research is being done in many new and interesting Burdock Discoveries are cropping up. A relationship is being examined between Burdock and anti fungal and anti bacterial properties, and even more importantly it shows signs that may be able to fight and Tumors can be a cancer fighting agent as well. Research has shown that many cancer causing compounds in almost all the food they eat and then stored in a network of human fat Burdock might very well which will help in the fight against cancer because it can play a role in depleting these mutagens.
